A prolific three-piece band/recording entity from the home counties, currently composed of Alex McCue (Drums, Guitar, Vocals), Rob "Spare" Hemmens (Bass) and Christian Dollimore (Piano, Vocals). Christian and Alex met in the summer of 1999 and performed a song ("The Ballad of the Croft", a reworking of the Beatles' song, "The Ballad of John and Yoko") at a talent show, with the help of guitarist Oliver John Holding. Meeting Spare in April 2000, they formed a comedy live act called The Bricklayers
